At Bowan Island Bakery we produce a range of traditional hand-crafted breads and pastries all of which have been sourced from the Pacific Northwest region of the U.S.A. and from British Columbia in Canada. The Irish breads we bake are derived from old recipes passed amongst the Irish communities of the Puget Sound islands, and the sourdoughs are akin to the older-style breads which sustained the British Columbian and Alaskan gold miners. We use no commercial additives, pre-mixes or preservatives and so make every product from scratch and by hand, daily at the bakery. |
